Located in Hackney, London, St Michael and All Angels is a stunning Grade I listed building designed by James Brooks in a neo-Gothic style. Its intricate brickwork and grand arches highlight its place in the area’s history and character. We worked with Trehearne Architects to create CGI visuals imagining a new future for the building. One concept transformed it into a restaurant, opening the space to add light and introducing a mezzanine around the sides and back. This design provided extra dining space, blending old and new elements in a harmonious way. Another CGI showcased a proposed office building next to the church, designed with a complementary brick tone to blend seamlessly with the historic setting.

We also contributed by selecting furniture for the restaurant concept, ensuring it reflected modern London trends and enhanced the vibrant atmosphere of the space. These visualizations show how St Michael and All Angels could embrace a new purpose while preserving its unique character, offering a thoughtful balance between heritage and innovation.
